I had planned on purchasing a new build flat in the Reading town centre and the estate agent recommended EJ Winter and Son LLP. From start to finish they delivered an efficient and extremely helpful service.
My main contact was Jamie Wren who helped me understand the finer details of leasehold properties and the potential risks of buying over a four-month period. He was extremely thorough in pressing the building developer for answers to my queries while also being firm over the dangers of architect certificates and the lesser protection they offer to leaseholders.
I withdrew from the purchase in the end based on personal and professional circumstances, avoiding a great deal of potential risk and lost investment as a single first-time buyer. A lesser solicitor may have skirted around problems with a leasehold flat or missed out the finer legal details.
EJ Winter and Son only charged for their services up to the point of completion, an honest and transparent approach that other firms may not follow. In short, I can't recommend them enough.

Cheryl Brabon was our first contact from the Conveyancing Team and saw the sale of the property right through to the day when she told us completion had taken place. This made any matters that arose and any contact so much easier as we didn't have to keep explaining anything to difference members of staff. We found Cheryl to be very efficient and would reply to e mails and calls very quickly making the stressful job of selling our late mothers home so much easier. Cheryl is friendly but professional, easy to talk too, we would recommend her and use her for her services without a second thought. Thank you very much again Cheryl.

Elizabeth was my main point of contact and she was absolutely amazing, dealing with anything as soon as it came in, replying to emails within minutes, I couldn't ask for more.
I deal with solicitors/conveyancers on a daily basis and the service is usually awful, you often have to deal with rude receptionists/assistants and never get calls/emails back, especially with many working from home currently. EJ Winter have been the complete opposite. I would 100% recommend them to anyone.

Our experience with E J Winter and son has been an entirely positive one concerning the selling of two properties over a period of two years. Cheryl Brabon and Nicky Brunsdon work seamlessly together making the whole stressful process seem easy. They have been never - endingly patient, kind, polite, efficient and always quick to respond.

I have sold multiple houses down the years and most conveyancing solicitors need constant chasing, reminding, pushing along, explaining..over and over again. HOWEVER, I have to say EJ Winter have been superb. They have surpassed my expectations on speed and efficiency and follow up. I never had to chase anything, they kept me in the loop without me asking them to and the whole experience was quite brilliant actually. I recommend Holly Arudell by the way there (if you get a choice).
