after a few wretched experiences with OTHER solicitors in previous house moves, our 'expectations' were managed this time around, but it turns out we just hadn't found the right solicitors yet. Brittons [Bourne End branch specifically as the one we dealt with] were brilliant from the word go; always available to answer emails or phone calls or even in person at their office on the Parade; we mainly dealt with Jaimee who was really really helpful and thoughtful throughout, and then Gianfranco was often around when Jaimee was off and also provided excellent insight and expertise which helped us throughout. They were both/all extremely proactive in advising us of all potential questions from the buying/selling solicitors so we were never scrambling around, and they were very resilient and determined in their dealings with everyone else up and downstream of the 'chain' which we were enormously appreciative of. ALl advice and work they were doing was clearly for our own benefit and not for theirs or anyone else's, so we never felt that there was anything being told to us that was in conflict with our own needs and ambitions.. overall, can't recommend them highly enough!
