Divorce is a difficult process, involving a veritable cocktail of emotions including loss, grief, disappointment, anger and so much more. I had not initiated divorce proceedings, and although we had been living separately for a time, there had been no discussion of divorce. Attempts to discuss anything might frequently be met with words like, "let's just let that slip away, shall we?"
On being told that he had applied on the web for a divorce on the grounds of my unreasonable behaviour, I was aghast. He was apparently suicidally depressed, did not want to use lawyers, and I was very anxious about the whole situation on a number of levels.
