My experience using watersrule solicitors for the selling of my home and purchase of a new home was very positive. Mr Grant Storrar was my solicitor. From the first meeting during which he answered my many questions about his role and responsibilities and procedures to be followed, I felt confident that my purchase and sale was in competent, experienced hands. Mr Storrar was always very prompt and responsive in answering my further queries, either by telephone or email. I was never made to feel that my questions were an inconvenience or were unimportant. Every member of his staff with whom I had contact were unfailingly professional during phone conversations and when providing information and confirmations via email. The fee structure was clearly explained during our first meeting. There were no surprises or unexpected "add-ons". Requests for supporting documents and relevant records were made by Mr Storrar or a member of his team well in advance, so I always had more than adequate time to gather them. watersrule solicitors came highly recommended to me by a previous client. I can and will heartily recommend watersrule solicitors to others.

Steven is very personable and will keep you chatting on the phone unnecessarily but most phonecalls were actually made to chase up any progress that should have been made. Whenever he did eventually return my call he said that: it was good that I had rang as the details have gone to the bottom of the pile and the phonecall prompted him to chase things up. So much so that during lockdown I discovered that the land had been sold to someone else some months earlier and informed Steven. I heard nothing more until 11 months later I was issued a bill for almost £500 (not far from his original quote for a complete conveyancing procedure) when my husband queried it, Steven referred to the phone conversations as chargeable. I do wonder at what point Steven would have recognised the sale had not completed if I had not informed him. I do believe we lost this sale through his inefficiency, hence the fact it took 11 months to issue a bill after my request. I would not recommend ever using this firm.
