Rudest receptionist ever at Clay Cross, but nice solicitor
After the death of my father, 4 of us needed our signatures witnessed for a legal matter. Needed an appointment at Clay Cross office and so I rang them directly several times prior to the arranged appointment. Unbeknown to me the receptionist had been transferring me to the Alfreton office and my appointment was for Alfreton. Walked into Clay Cross, announced my name and was greeted by an eye rolling receptionist, who told me I didn't have an appointment, and who was very rude, had a bad attitude, pulling faces etc and gave off vibes that she was ready for battle. She accused us of not making an appointment with Clay Cross in such an unprofessional and aggressive way, that I replied that nobody had ever told me I'd been transferred to Alfreton or told me the appointment was at Alfreton. After her nastiness I told her that the incompetence wasn't my fault, and maybe someone could see us anyway for a simple quick issue. She shouted at us not to speak to her like that, which I obviously said the same applies to her. I can't describe how unprofessional and aggressive this lady was. I also remember her being quite rude on previous phone calls (distinctive accent meant I recognised it was the same lady). Solicitor was lovely and made time to fit us in quickly, but this lady is a liability to the company and made, what was already a stressful situation, worse. She agreed that she would never advise a client that they were being transferred to the Alfreton office, so I'm sure her anger, as we merely walked in, was probably because I wasn't the first to be misled.
