McCarthy Webb offers a wide range of non-contentious legal services. Jayne McCarthy and Tina Webb have built enviable reputations throughout the London and Sussex areas with private and commercial clients, with particular strengths within the residential and commercial areas of property law. Jayne was formerly President of Eastbourne Law Society and enjoys continuing to have an active role within this Society. We have a thriving Private Client Department headed by Rebecca Haywood, who specialises in Wills, Probate and Powers of Attorney and is a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and a full accredited member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers (formerly Solicitors for the Elderly). Whilst the Practice has invested in state-of-the-art IT systems throughout, the emphasis will always be on direct client contact and reassuringly every telephone call is answered personally. Reception is pleasantly informal, meeting rooms are comfortable and private and we have ground floor access for those that are less mobile. The McCarthy Webb fee structure is a competitive one, without compromising the in-depth service we provide to every one of our clients.

    Rebecca has been a great help to me in dealing with my elderly Aunts LPA, Wills and most recently my Aunts probate, Rebecca was very patient and kind when dealing directly with my Aunt and since then has always been available to help me when my Aunt passed away. The probate process was very clearly explained and once submitted it was granted very quickly and efficiently which really helped me to deal with the estate.

    Administration of mother's estate

    Mccarthy Webb (and specifically Mrs Rebecca Haywood) provided a fabulous service administering our late mother's estate. Mrs Haywood provided a similar service when our Dad passed away 13 years ago, and had helped our mother with her will and other matters in the intervening years. When our mother passed away late last year, we wanted to ensure that we had the support of a professional to help with the administration of the estate. Everything was handled smoothly, professionally and compassionately. We also used Mccarthy Webb's conveyancing arm (located in the same building) to act as solicitor's in the sale of our mother's house. This was a significant factor in streamlining the whole process.
