Separation agreement

Used Brodies LLP for a settlement agreement . The process was long and very expensive. Recieved bills every month . The fees were not broken down and very high for a service that quite frankly did not make any progress . The company do not have their clients best intetests at heart and want to fight things out only to allow them to get more money . They showed zero empathy when i was in extreme financially difficulty and raised a court action for outstanding fees . Avoid at all costs .

Complete shambles

Nearly 30k into Brodies and they achieved nothing in regards to my divorce, theg have basically charged me that fee for secretarial work, achieved nothing. Currently making a complaint to thd SLCC

Use with caution. Check likely costs. This firm has been dealing with my late father's estate for over 8 years. I was unhappy with the way the firm has handled matters and with the fees charged. I lodged complaints relating to conduct and service issues with the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission. The SLCC investigated the service issues and determined that the firm had provided an inadequate professional service to their clients and had charged for unnecessary work. The SLCC determined that some fees should be refunded and that I should receive some compensation. The Law Society of Scotland are now investigating the conduct complaints.
