Good first time buyer experience
I don't have comparison as we were first time buyers but everything went smooth. Emma, our solicitor was very kind, no issues with paperwork.
The biggest downside was that when we had questions it was very difficult to reach her. Maybe it was because our process was during the Christmas period and things got piled up for her, not sure. Also, nobody thought about the fact we were first time buyers with no routine, it would have been good to be advised that if we found anything to flag as issue with the house, we should have emailed pictured to them at the beginning as they could have had it fixed prior to the buying. I know it sounds obvious, but for first time buyers with the extra stress sometimes obvious things are missed. Maybe a tick list of what to check and do would be a clever thing to do when one signs the agreement. Otherwise we were happy.

pleased with the energy that was applied to obtaining viewers, advice throughout the sale process and especially advice on a closing date and the final amount offered by the successful bidder.

I recently engaged with Gilson Gray to sell my property and they have been fantastic. The whole end to end process has been smooth, the team have been brilliant at communicating, they are highly responsive and engaging - they really know how to provide an amazing client experience. My home sold in 2.5 weeks and they secured me a brilliant sale price. I couldn't recommend them highly enough and in particular, I had a fantastic experience with the following members of the Gilson Gray team, Douglas Hardwick, Lori Stiring, Megan Stewart and Graeme Wilson. Thank you for making it such a positive experience.

I received great service and advice from the North Berwick Estate Agent and Legal team so far in the marketing, sale and purchase throughout my house move. I special thanks to Lori, Abbie, and Rob from the Estate Agent team, and to Paula in Legal.
It came at a surprise at how quickly my property went from being surveyed to receiving an offer (~2 weeks). It's no doubt thanks to the team's hard work and in particular the marketing material created, i.e. the photographs and brochure, which were beautifully put together. I especially liked the online client portal Gilson Gray provides so you can keep up-to-date with the sale process of your property which includes who noted interest, offers made, ESPC views, etc.
If I was to nitpick it would be that communication internally could be improved upon at times. Examples of this are some e-mails going unanswered, a potential buyer not being informed of the closing date, and trying to book a viewing after the closing date was set. However, the very positive experience in general far outweighs these minor grumbles.
Again, thank you all for your effort in making the stressful experience of moving house very straightforward.

Gilson Grey undertook all aspects of the sale of my property in an extremely professional manner. At the start, the process and prices were clearly explained and I received very useful literature demonstrating the various stages. Arran Lovell, who I originally met and who organised the valuation and marketing of the property was extremely helpful and professional. Going above and beyond to organise various tradespeople for me to undertake improvements to the property. All the administration was handled very efficiently and quickly. When it came to handling the actual sale, Kelly Jagger, who negotiated on my behalf did an excellent job and kept me informed and consulted me at every stage. Eventually she secured a very good offer for me. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the Service provided by Gilson Gray. Excellent value for money.
