Upon separating from my ex I knew what needed to be done but was unaware of how things worked and Gilson helped me understand the best way of getting these three pieces of work done. Very approachable and friendly staff and was very flexible and understanding of my needs as a client. Were very patient with me when I was struggling to understand the legal jargon. In the last few months we have used Gilson Gray for will updates and house deeds. We had excellent service from Lindsay Darroch, Lisa Martin and Sarah Denovan. At all times they gave us clear advice and communication was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

I recently sold my property and the purchaser was using Gilson Gray Dundee. My solicitor had to chase Gilson Gray for nearly 4 weeks for updates and progress chasing simple things. The information received from offer was incorrect and I myself had to call them multiple times to ask that they respond to my solicitors calls and emails. This caused massive stress during the whole process. When trying to call Gilson Gray multiple times at all times there phone just cut off and said please leave a voicemail. This whole experience was a poor one simply due to the stress that Gilson Gray put myself through and the chain I was in. Looking at other reviews recently clearly something is wrong at this organization at the moment. I never review anything often but felt people needed to know the kind of experience they can exepect.

Beware..!! This is my first ever review of any company but I think it has to be said, I went to view a property Gilson Gray had advertised as I was very interested in the property I contacted my solicitor the next day to put official note of interest thinking this would keep me informed as I prepared an offer. To my surprise the house goes under offer I contacted my solicitor as soon as I was aware they in turn contacted Gilson Gray to be told they were unable to confirm the reason for this. The house owner was then told there was no other parties interested in his house so excepted a a FIVE figure sum under the asking price which I was prepared to pay . So think twice before using Gilson Gray…..

Viewed properry they were selling & asked to be informed of developments as we were very interested. 3 sldays layer heard nothing phoned them at 4pm on Monday to enquire and was told " Oh its going to a closing date 11am tuesday" we questioned on why we weren't informed the answer we got was simply oh I forgot!!!!! Very unprofessional and poor way to treat a buyer.

Firstly I am 49, a business man and this is the first review I have ever left. Please be very cautious when considering this firm, I was over charged/ripped off for a very simple Co. name change on a document previously produced by GG to the tune of over £2k , when queried got zero response or even an attempt at justifying the hours charged. Grudgingly paid the bill to be invoiced three weeks later for interest of £52 and a late payment charge of £720.over the course I replied to every email within hours reassuring I would pay but needed an explanation which was ignored constantly, the only attempted being made finally by credit control months later but still no justification of how it takes over 10 hours to change one name on a document the size of one A4 sheet of paper.
I have had a blue chip credit status all my life, I would sincerely stay away from this company. there service and advice is mediocre to slow with the fee scale of a top end practice.
