As someone who has not bought a new house very often, the advice that Cheryl and her team provided to us was invaluable in terms of knowledge of the housing market and providing advice/guidance not only on offers but also highlighting legal aspects to question with selling agents. The exchange of missives/completion process was handled smoothly by Cheryl/Alison and every contact query (no matter what it was) to the team was responded to promptly and courteously. As a first time buyer the whole process was very new to me and I was recommended Gilson Gray (Paula R) as a solicitor through First Mortgage.
The whole process was very smooth and everything was explained very clearly with regards to paperwork requirements and deadlines. They were very professional and friendly, always replying in a timely manner.
For any first time buyers looking for a solicitor, I would highly recommend Gilson Gray.

This was my first time using a solicitor and was for the purchase of my first property. Paula was great at keeping me informed on anything that I was required to do or read. She pulled out the key points of the legal documents to make them simpler to understand and was available for a phone call whenever needed. It was a simple process and did not require a lot of time to have everything arranged. Clear communication was had at various stages in the process.

I used Gilson Gray when I was selling my old flat, and I've just used them again for the purchase of my new flat. It was an absolute pleasure working with them (Cheryl Edgar and Alison Anderson), everything went smooth and communication was great. I bought at an auction which had to be paid 2 weeks after I was successful bidder - Cheryl and Alison were right on the case and it went through on time. There was no additional costs in the final bill as well. Perfect service - thank you so much for your help.
