I approached Lawford Kidd as I had had an accident which was avoidable and yet my work had not changed their practices and I feared more accidents would happen; I also felt that what had happened to me should not have happened. I made contact and Derek rang me the next day. At once I was impressed by his integrity and intelligence. He seemed astute and genuinely compassionate and at once enlightened me as to the process and what I could expect. There were no inflated promises but what was offered was honest and realistic communication and a well founded reassurance that what I was doing was the right course of action. Derek's perception and awareness of the situation was impressive but most impressive was his legal experience and knowledge; one might expect this from a lawyer but one doesn't always expect this level of integrity. I felt myself to be in good hands in what can sometimes be a difficult course of action to take.
