I was wrongfully accused of an abhorrent football related crime. The experience was devastating. As it became apparent that the matter would be going to court a friend referred me to Football Law Associates. Robert Perkins was assigned and straight away put me at ease. He was always willing to listen and most importantly, believed in me. As the crown released their evidence and we could see how flimsy and baseless this was. Robert went far beyond what would have been normal. At the pleading date he got to court an hour early to seek out the prosecutor and to go through all of our misgivings regards the evidence. The prosecutor offered a plea for a lesser offense which we refused. Seeing that a trial would not have a reasonable chance of success, the prosecutor offered to withdraw provided the police agreed and by chance the investigating officer was at court for an unrelated case. Robert tracked her down had a long conversation and the police agreed that if the prosecutor was to withdraw the case that she would not contest it and again waited for the opportunity to speak with the prosecutor. finally real justice was done and the case withdrawn. But for Robert's persistence and his willingness to stay at the court for as long as it takes, this nightmare would still be ongoing. I cannot thank him enough. A thoroughly decent human being who is also excellent at his job. If you find yourself in a similar situation please at least speak with the Football Law Associates.
