Review for Louise Margiotta — Thompson Smith and Puxon
I attended a 10-minute initial consultation with Louise Margiotta costing £370 plus VAT. The meeting was rushed, dismissive, and utterly lacking in meaningful legal advice or engagement.
Louise repeatedly asked if I “got here okay” and demanded my full name — including my middle name — despite all my details already being provided and having passed extensive anti-money laundering checks. When I questioned this, she bluntly said she couldn’t offer legal advice without it.
She also embarrassingly asked for the date of my “wedding” during a divorce consultation. The correct legal term is “marriage.” This fundamental mistake showed a shocking lack of preparation and attention.
The pre-call discussions were hurried, and the intense meeting reflected a clear lack of consideration for my time and circumstances. I found Louise overbearing, lacking empathy, and unprofessional in her approach.
Without any substantive discussion, Louise abruptly ended the meeting as soon as she decided we were “not compatible,” leaving me with nothing but frustration and a refund.
This was less a legal consultation and more a costly compatibility test, wasting my time and money. Louise’s rushed, indifferent attitude made it clear my case was not worth her time.
Adding insult to injury, Nicola Crisell’s complaint investigation was dismissive and one-sided. Despite me being a repeat client, I was never asked for my side before the complaint was closed. This disregard for repeat business is particularly disappointing.
While I received a refund, I strongly advise anyone seeking clear, professional legal support to look elsewhere.
