I called Reiss Edwards yesterday and was lucky enough to speak with Joe. Even though his day was fully booked with meetings, he still took 10–15 minutes to hear my problem. He then asked me to call back at the end of the day, when he spoke with me for another 30 minutes. Many firms don't even pick up the phone, or they charge a heavy fee just for a first consultation. At a time when I'm under a lot of stress and financial pressure, and unsure whether an application is even worth making, that made a huge difference to me. Joe listened to everything with real patience and guided me clearly and honestly. He didn't just push me towards an application. He was upfront about my realistic chances of success and encouraged me to take time, sleep on it, and decide whether it was worth spending the money. Not many solicitors care enough to give that kind of genuine advice, and I truly appreciated it. I found the firm through the reviews on ReviewSolicitors, and Joe is everything other clients have said about him. I feel very fortunate that I made that call. I had a vanilla family visa case. Instead of the estimated 4 weeks, it took me 7 months to get it. Sandeep & Evellyn at Reiss Edwards did nothing to help, they actually gave me poor (and sometimes factually incorrect) advice at every step along the way. In the end, I literally hired another firm for advice and only through their recommendations I was able to resolve my case. So hiring Reiss Edwards caused enormous emotional distress and I had to pay tens of thousands in additional rent in my country of origin. If I hadn't hired the other firm, I believe Sandeep would still be telling me to "either wait or sue the government". So I can't recommend enough *not to* hire Reiss Edwards.
