We used JP Goldman for our house sale and onward purchase after a personal referral and good reviews online, but our experience was disappointing. Communication was poor from the start. After the initial paperwork there was no contact for 10 days, and I later learned no work had begun as payment hadn’t been requested correctly. Even once funds were paid, progress was slow and emails often went unanswered. The online app never updated beyond “file opened 10th February” and showed limited information. Our buyer eventually withdrew after weeks of delays, and our conveyancer then left the firm with no notice or handover. A new case handler, Anna, was more responsive and helped us complete after seven months in total. Mia Howard, the legal assistant, was also helpful and professional throughout. Overall, communication was inconsistent and frustrating. Based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend JP Goldman for conveyancing

2nd time using Ali and Christian for a remortgage. Superb service. Great communication. Nothing was too much trouble. 100% recommend to anyone remortgaging

Took 6 months to complete on a first time buyer in no chain on a leasehold property. No communication throughout, kept having to chase up on when various items were being completed. On one call told them I would switch solicitor if I didn't get to speak to the person handling my case, was put on hold then eventually hung up on me. Proceeded to switch and only then got a call and emails from jp goldman stating how things were progressing and moving so i begrudgingly stayed. I wish I had switched from the start and didn't get trapped in when it was too late.

I didn’t even instruct JP Morgan to be my conveyancer and 2 months after exchange and completion my solicitor is constantly urging and chasing and even threatening this company to complete outstanding legal paperwork that is required by the land registry. Yes you have been PAID in full by your client and they have sailed in to the sunset while I sit here waiting for you to complete your legal obligations. I will come back to this review for an update once Share of Freehold is complete. Let’s see how long it takes.

I am currently using JP Goldman for my first property purchase, and unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing and stressful. This should be one of the most exciting milestones in my life, but instead it has been overshadowed by a complete lack of communication and support. Over the past three weeks, I have called the firm more than 25 times and have only managed to get through to someone twice. On both occasions, I was promised a call back and assistance in resolving my issues, but no one ever followed up. I also exchanged multiple emails with a representative named Hannah, who has not provided any meaningful updates or confirmation on key matters. Despite agreeing a move-in date three weeks ago, I still have not received any formal confirmation, which is completely unacceptable at this stage of the process. To make matters worse, the vendor has already completed and signed their side of the contracts, meaning the delay is now putting my completion date at risk. I have effectively been left chasing for basic updates with no accountability from the firm. The lack of responsiveness, organisation, and communication has turned what should have been an exciting experience into an incredibly frustrating and stressful one. I would strongly urge anyone considering JP Goldman to think carefully before proceeding. Overall, a very poor experience so far.

We used JP Goldman for our house purchase. We were first time buyers purchasing into no chain but due to the lack of communication and enthusiasm to move our purchase forward this took nearly 6 months! Communication was non existent from start to finish. It would take multiple phone calls and emails to get a reply. We would be left for weeks with no updates or email replies. They have an app but they never update it. After 2 weeks and 4 non replies to emails we submitted a formal complaint and to no surprise they never responded!!!. I rang and spoke to the assistant director who assured me contracts would be exchanged that day and it still proceeded to take another 2 weeks! To add to this our file handler left the firm before we completed and nobody bothered to inform us. Unfortunately i do not have any positives i can share. Buying a house for the first time yes can be stressful but should also be exciting, but JP Goldman just caused us stress and ruined the entire experience for us. Not a firm i would recommend.
