Mark Robertson and Robert Small are an excellent team. They helped me through a litigation case explaining every step in an plain easily understandable way. Both Mark and Rob are extremely easy to talk to and both have an extensive knowledge of the law. Thanks to Mark and Rob we ultimately won our litigation case with a cost order placed on the defendant. I would highly recommend Downie & Gadban to anybody considering litigation.

Refused to help with a small legal matter regarding the purchase of a property
We are disappointed to have received your review but would like to take the opportunity to respond. We received your enquiry via our website and we responded to it quickly, within half an hour, explaining that unfortunately, due to existing client commitments, we were unable to help on this occasion and pointing you in the direction of the Law Society’s Find a Solicitor website to try and assist you in finding an alternative firm. We pride ourselves on the level of service that we offer our clients and we try to avoid taking on more work than we can comfortably deal with (taking into account the availability and workloads of individual members of our team) to avoid affecting the service that we provide to our existing clients. We are sorry that we were not able to assist on this occasion.
I am extremely pleased with the manner in which the action was progressed and with the outcome, this is a testament to the skill and experience of Robert Small. I would recommend this company to anyone, as it was recommended to me. Like me, you will not be disappointed.

After a positive experience using Downie & Gadban to write my will, I chose them to do the conveyancing on my house sale and purchase. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Lucy Hunting was so efficient, lovely to deal with and very quick to respond if I needed anything, and Helen was very helpful when I went in to sign documents. Lucy took the trouble to explain everything clearly, and was very proactive in chasing things up for me. I knew I could have total confidence in Lucy's advice.

Tracey provides excellent 5 star service, if there were more stars available I would give more. Her turn around for enquiries, responding to emails/calls and attention to detail is far beyond exceptional. Without Tracey’s dedication during our recent sale we would not have exchanged in a last minute scenario as we did. I can thoroughly recommend Tracey with any house sale, I’m convinced she could manage the sale of a complex listed castle .
