This company is currently handling our house sale. If you can call ‘handling’ not giving updates when promised, not proactively chasing buyers, not getting amendments done as requested and just very poor communication and just basic lip service hoping you’ll go away
We’ve just sold a property which was in a large chain. We dealt mainly with Lily McDonald her communication was second to none, she continually kept us updated and followed up with the other solicitors to confirm a completion date. On completion day there were a few hiccups but Lily and also Rachel Haymes, kept us fully informed and updated - we got there in the end.
Such a seamless and fast service. Rachel dealt with my purchase and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend and will be back in the future
I would steer clear off these guys. They are called Scott Hyman. I was assigned Sonia Marley as the solicitor in charge of my property purchase. She ruined the experience for me, was completely rude and unapologetic, took her time with everything. Would get documents back from the sellers, but would not get back to me until I chased up. In fact, i have to chase EVERYthing UP! She never came to me wirh updates unless i chased. The process was extremely long with them. I felt lied to, because they'd tell me something different and the estate agent who was in direct contact with the sellers would tell me it was a lie. They were unprofessional, time wasters and after the sale I called them to let them know the sellers were in breach of our contract but they didn't care. They had received their fees and did not care. Stay away from this guys if you actually want to get anything done and have a great experience doing so.
We are very pleased with our experience of Scott Hyman & Co, especially Sadia Arshad, who has kept us informed every step of the way with regular updates. We have found her to be professional, efficient and very reassuring about any concerns we had. After dealing with many property solicitors, we realised how lucky we are to have Sadia with our related purchase. Highly recommend Sadia for all conveyancing needs.
