"I have had an appalling experience with Pert & Malim during my house move. Despite being the client paying their fees, it felt as though the firm was working for every other party in the chain except me. ​The service was riddled with basic administrative errors and a total lack of attention to detail. Major legal disclosures—including a full house rewire and a new roof—were completely left off the information forms. When I raised these serious concerns, they were dismissed as 'something and nothing.' It is deeply concerning that a law firm would show such indifference toward ensuring a property is legally sound and accurately documented. ​To make matters worse, when challenged on these failings and the lack of urgency, the firm used a bereavement from five years ago as an excuse for their current incompetence. This is unprofessional, dismissive, and entirely unacceptable. If you want a solicitor who will actually advocate for you and protect your interests, do not use this firm."

I found the service to be a good standard, communication is the key, and plenty of emails back and forth checking and discussing concerns, or possible problems. I have used them for 3 house sales now and I am very happy to keep returning as they are priced fairly. We have used them to sell a commercial property and again this went through well. The paralegals around the solicitor are great. The speed thing is sometime down to things out of the solicitors control such as the other parties solicitor, but Pert & Malim do not bad mouth other solicitors and appologies for the delay. The last property I sold I knew the buyer and it was strange how long it took for the request for information to reach the buyer but I would not have to wait until a Friday to get such request from Pert and Malim. I am sure some people find the old building off-putting but I am engaging the solicitors services not the buildings.

Time, after time, after time nobody responds to messages left, then finally told cheques have been lost in the post- all 3 to different addresses. Cheques will take up to 8 days to cancel and a bacs payment may take 3 days to clear. What cheques- they were never written? This company has made a mockery of my late fathers’ memory and his wishes! Stay well clear!
