I wouldn’t recommend this company as they have hidden charges that they only bring to light once you’ve made your first payment, so then it feel like entrapment and when you try to call them directly to discuss they continually end your call so you can’t get through to them

Charged 2.5 times the estimated fee for a very poor service

Given mandate early December for remortgage to be completed by end of January, but in early March things were still pending while I was paying loads of interests. Most of my calls and email were ignored. Final bill was 2.5 times of what was estimated, even if they had a clear understanding of what they had to do from very beginning. Highly unprofessional. To avoid at any rate

Poor service from start to finish. Would not recommend PLS. We used them as our estate agent recommended them and suggested their clients are normally prioritized. To start, we did not hear from PLS for a few days after our agent instructed them on our behalf, we had to chase and they eventually contacted us saying we "fell through the net", how does one fall through the net? Throughout the whole process the communication has been awful, we only receive information when we ask for it and even then we only receive short replies with very little information, I contacted our case worker to try and improve the communication as we were first time buyers and a little guidance would have helped but nothing improved from PLS. I twice asked to speak with a supervisor/manager and was twice told I would be contacted and I'm still waiting for that call. The tracker is a good idea but it didn't get updated unless I asked why it hadn't, so what's the point in having a tracker if it isn't used by your case workers. During the whole process I felt like I was an inconvenience to our case worker and like she had better things to do than help me, I was made to feel like our case was the least important. In one case we were waiting for a document dated 29/6 and only after chasing we received it 25/7. PLS made our whole process more stressful, more difficult and longer than it should have been, we were first time buyers buying a chain free property and it should not have taken as long as it did. Would never use again and would never recommend!!

Extremely poor service from Olivia. Completely wasted 2 months of my time with these incompetent workers. There was a clear lack of the ability to listen and comprehend that laws are different across different countries to how they are in the UK. It is like they are only taught one method in their work and are deliberately told not to adapt to differing situations. I have also supposedly been charged for “local searches” in a payment that I am certain was just a deposit.

I am sharing my personal experience, A journey of 6 MONTHS. and it has been nothing short of disappointing. Communication within their own department and with cusotmer. Tried simplyfying by calling them directly but they came busy or put me on hold. I chose this company despite their quote being one of the highest I received, believing that the premium price would guarantee the best service. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Due to their own negligence and repeated mistakes during the purchase of my new development property, my case was dropped and delayed twice. I have encountered numerous issues throughout this process, all stemming from their internal errors. To date, no one has taken ownership of these mistakes. Despite writing to Customer Service over a month ago (in December), I am writing this today, February 14th, with absolutely no resolution and latest email stating an apology for their Delay in replying or coming up with resolution. While a Customer Service Manager previously offered some compensation, their own staff fails to recognize these concessions, rendering the gesture meaningless. I have been left to pay whatever they demanded, regardless of their errors. The lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism is shocking. I intend to continue pursuing my case and escalating my complaint in the coming months to see that this is properly addressed. A truly disappointing experience.

We bought a property whereby the sellers used Liam at PLS. Both him and them were difficult to deal with throughout the process, culminating in them misrepresenting the property- leaving it damaged- and having to legally put it right after completion. Of course you can get bad sellers and solicitors can only go off what they are told, however Liam’s communication was very very poor.

The worst most incompetent solicitors. Because of them I have been stuck on a variable rate for months and looks like it will be that way for some time due to their negligence and incompetence. They are unprofessional, unresponsive and they do not care about whatever position they put you in. I have written two formal complaints and reported them to the legal ombudsman who are handling it for me. The amount of distress they have caused me I wouldn’t wish it on my enemy. There reviews are fake because my experience has been the total opposite. If you know you want solicitors that know what they are doing then do not do business with them as it has been nothing but a horrible experience.

Extremely disappointing experience!! I instructed PLS back in July 2024 for an off plan property and in the next 4-5 months, I found out through my PLS case officer that the seller has been unable to provide them with the contract packs and other documentation for them to proceed with review of my case. This led me to challenge the property agent eventually about discrepancies in their documentation, leading to cancellation of my reservation with them in Dec 2024. I am now finding out that PLS has incurred "significant effort" on my case as they received the contracts pack in January 2025 (although I had already cancelled in Dec 2024) and this significant effort will lead to a bill for me which I have to pay in the next 30 days. Funny thing is that I am only finding out today that they received the contact pack 7 months ago and they didn't even bother to tell me. Another funny story - they are not allowing a payment plan too as the amount is really small - BUT, they also cant waive the charges because significant efforts have gone into my case. I am obviously confused and frustrated!! It took me 12 months of constant chasing to recover my reservation monies from agent and now this. In summary, my confidence is completely shattered in properties within UK in general and UK solicitors in particular.

I wish I read the reviews first

Outright unprofessional shambolic bunch. We couldn't take anything they said for granted as they were so untrustworthy. Key steps missed which has cost us money. We complained and their own internal review agreed and even gave a us a discount (despite the review not being carried out when they said it would be- untrustworthy). Even with the discount we still feel very hard done by. Do not use.

PLS - Pretty awful from start to still not yet finished !!!!

I had to deal with this firm, as they were on the panel for my mortgage ... awful from start to finish. So many errors .... incorrect billing ... double billing ... failure to call back ... slow to respond ... final report wrong, missing words, incomplete. Save the stress and use someone else.

Umm’ing and aww’ing about leaving this review.. I completed my purchase on the 8th December 2025. This solicitors are like most others; communication throughout the process had to be constantly chased to get updates. Nearing the completion date all went quiet, and after chasing it turned out the guy who was handling my purchase was fired. After getting the keys and inspecting the house, we noted that the sellers had not adhered to the Fixtures and Fittings form, and they had left a lot of trash. We quickly contacted the solicitors who claimed to have contacted the seller’s solicitors but ceased communication soon after. The biggest thing I was let down by is this: a week or so after finalising the purchase I found money in the house, and by ‘money’ I mean approximately £200k. I reached out to PLS and they wanted nothing to do with it, they were not interested in helping me at all. Their after sales support is non existent and I wouldn’t recommend them at all.
