Charged me £75 for bank transfer when made mistake of initially sending cheque to wrong house. Held my money for nearly a month. No apology, no redress. Did not respond to emails. Have to make multiple phone calls to sort out.

I have just completed our house move and used Martin Gaffney solicitors I found them extremely friendly,they explained the process in simple terms And because I needed a quick move due to my husband health they did everything they could to make sure it happened I would especially like to praise Lynne and Georgia for everything they did

It's taken almost 4 years to complete a simple, undisputed divorce. While I accept Covid would have had an impact initially there has been a successions of staff changes, errors and unexplained delays that are beyond unprofessional.
I thought I would keep it local, initially spoke to a solicitor who understood my situation , then she left , at the last minute I was asked to meet another appointed solicitor , An horrendous meeting he was arrogant I asked if he had read my file, his answer was it doesn't matter just fill in the form which he threw at me and said scribble anything down then we will talk about it . I felt completely deflated, worried and let down in what was a very sensitive and emotional situation, I left a message for Martin Gaffney to call me which took 2 days . He said you need to get someone else to take your case if you don't like the new guy, we can't help you . it has taken 2.5 months after chasing for them to give back money I put on account . Appalling service .

Have to say, martin Gaffney from.my first call to him I felt was very proffessional . Very reassuring. Unfortunately my sale get quite complex but martin Phillips and Georgia dealt with everything . Kept ploughing on and haven't incurred any extra charges as such. Thoroughly recommend. Old school comes to mind.
