I couldn’t recommend Sam and the team highly enough. As an estate agent myself, I have dealt with a lot of solicitors over the years, and I can honestly say I have never experienced a solicitor as proactive, efficient and thorough as Sam. From the outset, Sam was incredibly on the ball, constantly anticipating what would be needed next and proactively dealing with things before they became an issue. She was also extremely friendly, approachable and a pleasure to deal with throughout. We had a tight deadline to work towards, and Sam went above and beyond to make sure everything was kept on track and that we were in the best possible position to meet it. Her communication was excellent, and I always felt that everything was being handled and nothing was being left to chance. It is incredibly refreshing to deal with someone who is so organised, proactive and genuinely committed to getting the job done. Charged me £75 for bank transfer when made mistake of initially sending cheque to wrong house. Held my money for nearly a month. No apology, no redress. Did not respond to emails. Have to make multiple phone calls to sort out.

It's taken almost 4 years to complete a simple, undisputed divorce. While I accept Covid would have had an impact initially there has been a successions of staff changes, errors and unexplained delays that are beyond unprofessional.

I thought I would keep it local, initially spoke to a solicitor who understood my situation , then she left , at the last minute I was asked to meet another appointed solicitor , An horrendous meeting he was arrogant I asked if he had read my file, his answer was it doesn't matter just fill in the form which he threw at me and said scribble anything down then we will talk about it . I felt completely deflated, worried and let down in what was a very sensitive and emotional situation, I left a message for Martin Gaffney to call me which took 2 days . He said you need to get someone else to take your case if you don't like the new guy, we can't help you . it has taken 2.5 months after chasing for them to give back money I put on account . Appalling service .
