We wanted new wills to reflect our current situation and also power of attorney. Mr Milton-Jenkins went through the process in great detail. They prepared our documents within their timescale and we have signed the paperwork. We are very happy with the outcome.

Thorne Segar arranged Lasting Powers of Attorney for my wife and me. Their initial quoted price was very reasonable, with all predicted expenses thoroughly explained up front and their final bill was exactly as we expected, with no surprises. We were kept informed throughout the process and every step was thoroughly explained and backed by sound advice.
I would thoroughly recommend Thorne Segar for this type of work.

My wife and I have recently made our will
with Thorne Segar. Iestyn and Tina dealt with it. Iestyn went through all the details and nothing was too much trouble. Tina went through all the paperwork and was extremely efficient. Iestyn told us to ring him if we were unsure about anything before we came in to sign. As soon as we went in everyone in reception were helpful made us coffee and tea and biscuits and made us feel welcome. We would recommend Thorne Segar.

We had a very good experience of Thorne Segar helping us with sale of 2 difficult properties, including one tied to Affordable Housing by a National Park. The firm was good in terms of communication, efficiency, sensible advice, and helping navigate our way through complex issues - and at the straightforward terms initially offered.

Recently appointed Thorne Segar to re-do our wills and provide advice. I was looking for a small firm with personal service, and one that as a customer I could relate to and one that would feel accessible. I found it. The two partners, Iestyn and Rebecca are amazing and the other colleagues that I interacted with are friendly and relaxed. I thought the cost of the service was extremely reasonable and the turn-around time quick. There are lots of large, glossy firms out there who will charge a lot of money to have their administrators do most of the work - use Thorne Segar instead! They do great coffee as well!

I appointed Thorne Segar in Minehead on the 3rd March 2018 to handle the simple sale of a holiday lodge I owned. No chain involved, 1 seller, 1 buyer. They told me it would take 8-10 weeks, but then added to this there was a further unexpected delay of 5 weeks (Not their fault). In total however, it took them 38 weeks to complete! The whole process was a somewhat tortuous affair littered with deceit, incompetence, and tardiness on the part of the individuals involved. The communication from them was lamentable, and despite platitudes to the contrary they showed little concern or urgency in completing the sale. The service picked up towards the end of the process, after my repeated complaints, but even at the end they couldn’t send cheques to the right people! If you had presented my experiences of this company as a sketch for a farce, it would have been rejected as too unbelievable.
I own a number of properties, and I have been selling and buying houses for the last 20 years. This is by far the worst solicitor’s firm I have ever dealt with, and on the basis of my experience I would recommend you avoid them at all costs.

They mismanaged a Trust causing a loss of over £18,000. Ongoing complaint with them, but initial communication shows this is unlikely to be resolved and the sum will need to be recovered through other means.
