WB Pennine’s Negligence Cost Me My Home – Do Not Instruct this Firm.

I instructed WB Pennine Solicitors for what should have been a straightforward property sale. What followed was a shocking display of negligence, missed deadlines, poor communication, and failure to act even when the court had granted extra time. Despite repeated reminders and my full cooperation, they allowed the sale to fall through — and I have now lost my home as a result.
This was not just a minor oversight; it was a complete breakdown of their duty of care and legal responsibility. My formal complaint is already in progress with the Legal Ombudsman, and a £100,000 compensation claim is being lodged through Sheffield County Court.
I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. If you value your assets, your time, or your peace of mind, avoid this firm.
They have not responded appropriately despite multiple emails, letters, and recorded phone calls. Regulatory action is now underway.

I purchased my house through W B PENNINE 7yrs ago, and recently, I asked them to assist me again. This latter transaction sadly fell through, due to an inadvertent error by someone unconnected with WB PENNINE.
This solicitors' company has been hugely supportive of me, and throughout they have been friendly, knowledgeable, approachable and professional at all times. Furthermore, they've responded very quickly to my emails and phone calls.
I've had contact with a lot of their employees within the least 6 months, and the final person was Lyndsay Clark. It was she that dealt with my case latterly, and who supported me in aborting the purchase.
Lyndsay has dealt sensitively with me on this matter, and has recouped as much of my monetary outlay as possible - in fact, much more than I'd thought possible, and I'm so grateful to her and her colleagues for this.

Extremely disappointed – would not recommend.
My experience with WB Pennine Solicitors has been deeply frustrating and damaging. I instructed them to handle a property sale that required urgency and professionalism, yet due to consistent delays, missed deadlines, and poor communication, the property was ultimately repossessed—despite court orders and ample time to complete the transaction.
Repeated attempts to assist them, including court extensions and proactive communication, were ignored or brushed aside. Their handling of the case lacked care, urgency, and the basic standard expected from a regulated legal firm.
I am now in the process of lodging a formal complaint with the Legal Ombudsman and all relevant regulatory bodies, including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). A substantial compensation claim is being prepared due to the financial and emotional damage caused.
If you are considering this firm, I urge you to think twice. My experience has shown a shocking level of negligence and a complete disregard for the client’s wellbeing or legal obligations.

Flawless conveyancing process and no hidden fees. I paid what I was quoted. I have to be honest and say I didn't have much interaction with Gaynor but she always communicated with unquestionable conviction on my behalf when additional requests were being made. Reception were always delightful, although it's usually an answer machine that you're transfered to. Sue was very pleasant. However the person that really made me feel like a client rather than a customer was Molly! Molly provided a positive and super confident energy that put me at ease and made me feel reassured that everything would go perfectly on completion day. Molly exudes a whatever happens I've got it covered approach so much so it felt like she cared like friend!
Would recommend this solicitors to anyone that want hassle free that delivers on their promises.
