I had the pleasure of Charlotte Newman working my case. I can’t recommend her enough. I called completely clueless ready to leave my home with children in tow until she advised me of my rights and how to get these in place within 24 hours. All my ordered were granted. Charlotte has a reputation for getting things done and her name comes with clout to the point my ex partner changed his 3 times. She was not only available legally but was there to support me emotionally when needed. It was a nasty situation with the other party being underhand but Charlottes experience and knowledge was something they couldn’t match. Would highly recommend. She is efficient and effective. I contacted Melanie Bridgen from Nelsons Solicitors in Derby for advice in child arrangement. Her knowledge was more than I could ask for. She helped me through every concern I had and with her colleague Melanie Theakstone put together my wishes, contacted my ex, made sure that everything I legally wanted it was written down as clear for the court application as possible. They followed my case through CAFCASS and the final court order. Mrs. Bridgen had straight questions, and answers to everything. They took the process of my shoulder, and in 2 months I have received the final order from court (with Christmas included). I cannot be more thankful for their job and knowledge.

Gemma was absolutely incredible with my case and moved extremely swiftly and professionally. I felt I could email her with any questions, no matter how silly they may have been and she responded promptly, even after the case. When you are being prosecuted you need to hire someone who knows the law well enough to represent you so that you don't get hit even harder that you deserve. It happens all the time, the (throwing the book at you method). The book hurts. The police and CPS like to escalate charges. If you don't have a representative who knows what might happen. I had a solicitor from another firm before, same case. His representation was discontinued and I hired a lady from Richard Nelson LLP. She made sure the law remained honest, I was given a consequence that matched my offence not a hugely escalated sentence that would have been unfair. She knows things like what sentencing guidelines the court are empowered with and made a point to the court that they accepted which otherwise would have left me in a position where I would no doubt have been prosecuted again in future. Eve Paterson skillfully negotiated the safe zone between there should be a consequence and escalated charges to make it sound worse than it was. In my very humble opinion,if you are going into a courtroom without her good luck. But if I had a choice I would use Richard Nelson. Eve if possible.
