I had had 26 months of challenges put before me from the Home Office whilst I was trying to apply for my NTL (No Time Limit) visa. The Home Office (Immigration) were not being cooperative and kept placing unnecessary challenges before me whilst they demanded information from me which, in my case, I had already provided them. With follow up calls to immigration to progress by NTL visa, which should have only taken them 3 months to process, this saga continued and remained unresolved. In July this year, I was refused entry to the UK having returned from a 7 day holiday. Immigration told me that, although I presented to them my paper visa, which offered me the right to remain, as I didn't have an eVisa they would only offer me a holiday visa until I could obtain a digital visa. They chose to ignore the fact that I had presented them all of the evidence they demanded from me when they photographed my eyes and took my fingerprints for a Biometric Visa in December 2024. Disgusted with the manner in which I had been treated I contacted my MP, who provided me with information on how to contact Newfields. I immediately was contacted by Shirin Gheissary who gladly took on my case and dealt with the eVisa application on my behalf. Shirin made the process so incredibly easy for me to contribute toward. What had previously taken me 26 months of bureaucracy and provocative challenges from the Home Office, Shirin achieved in 4 weeks. The irony here is the 26 weeks it had taken me to draw a refusal on my visa application, Shirin was able to achieve the approval of my NTL application the day after I had my Biometrics taken again. Such an incredible achievement from such a skillfully talented and highly experienced lawyer.
