Tier 2 (Skilled Worker) is the visa route for non‑UK nationals who have a sponsor employer and a job offer at a skilled level. A solicitor specialising in immigration handles the sponsor accreditation, obtains or assigns the Certificate of Sponsorship, assembles evidence on salary, English language, and maintenance, and completes the online visa application to UK Visas and Immigration, including any extensions or changes of employment. They liaise with the employer, prepare responses to Home Office requests, and represent the client if decisions are challenged or defended on appeal or administrative review.
