Immigration work covers the preparation and submission of applications for visas, asylum, refugee protection, residence, and citizenship, as well as challenging refusals and pursuing appeals. A solicitor practises in this area by drafting and submitting applications to UK Visas and Immigration and the Home Office, advising on visa routes, family and work connections, and coordinating with detention or enforcement processes. They also represent clients at interviews, in biometric appointments, and in appeals to the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) and beyond.
The decision to grant or refuse a visa, asylum claim, or settlement can have irreversible consequences, including removal or deportation. A solicitor ensures deadlines are met, prepares the necessary documents, advises on the availability of appeals, and represents the client at hearings, with consideration of human rights and family life implications, to protect the client’s position.

Tagged solicitors Ian Hamilton and Julia Sernagiotto
I overstayed on my working visa by mistake. In the end my visa was approved for an extension thanks to Ian and Julia. They were a pleasure to work with. They were able to handle everything for me from building a case, to submitting my application and were extremely supportive and responsive during the entire process. I can't thank them enough for the help with this. I would highly recommend OTB Legal if you're requiring assistance with any VISA situation you may be in.

Tagged solicitor Vladimir Mikeljevic
Superb service from Vladimir Mikeljevic over the course of about a year. He was at all times informed, helpful, accessible, and very quick (i.e. typically the same day) in responding to any correspondence or matters that required attention. He retained the same calm, measured manner throughout, and when the visa submission office made a significant error, he acted immediately and decisively in a way that prevented it from becoming a problem. He gave clear advice from the start, and saw matters through to a smooth and successful conclusion. Outstanding service.

Tagged solicitor Talal Talha
I’m really grateful to Talal Talha for helping me with my Skilled Worker visa application. He handled my case personally and made the whole process so much easier for me. From day one, he was clear, calm, and always quick to respond to any questions I had, honestly, like having a human version of *ChatGPT 4-Turbo) when it comes to visa applications (but with law expertise 😄). Visa paperwork can be overwhelming, but Talha broke everything down in a way that made sense. He guided me through each step, stayed on top of everything, and thanks to his help, my application was successful without any issues. I genuinely appreciate the support and would definitely recommend Talha to anyone looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and approachable immigration solicitor. Thanks again, Talha, you made a stressful process feel easy!
