Complex Wills covers high‑value estates, intricate trust structures and tax planning within a valid will, often involving complementary lifetime gifts, nil‑rate band planning and cross‑border considerations. A solicitor in this area drafts and reviews sophisticated wills, prepares and registers testamentary trusts, advises on inheritance tax, and coordinates executorship and probate to protect the intended distribution of an estate. They liaise with executors, navigate disputes over validity or interpretation, and manage fiduciary duties across complex beneficiaries and assets.

“Having routinely fallen out with various relatives and buried several others, I felt it was time to update my 2023 Will to avoid any posthumous confusion or dispute. As a wise cynic once remarked: "Where there's a Will, there's a Relative!" Progression Solicitors, in the delightful small town of Ulverston ( Cumbria) , were recommended to me and within a couple of weeks the whole procedure has been painlessly completed by Hannah Booth and her extremely helpful and efficient assistant, Saaima. I found all the Staff at Progression to be very friendly and approachable. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone seeking legal advice or assistance in our increasingly litigious, complex and bureaucratic society . My sincere thanks to all involved.”
