This work covers straightforward probate and estate administration for a simple estate, including identifying and collecting assets, paying debts and taxes, and obtaining a grant of probate or letters of administration, then distributing assets according to a will or the rules of intestacy. A solicitor handles the practical steps: drafting and submitting forms, coordinating with banks and lenders, securing valuations, and dealing with the executors or personal representatives to ensure the estate is wound up properly.

“Really appreciated the support and guidance from Rachel, not just able to provide honest and clear guidance but was really just able to listen when I think that was what I needed the most. My concerns were treated compassionately and with empathy whilst giving me the direction I needed to move forward and I feel that I am back in control now. Thank you, cannot recommend highly enough!”

    Frequently asked questions

    How are these solicitors ranked?

Twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday, so new reviews are reflected quickly. This list was last updated on 1 November 2026.

Is it free to compare solicitors?

Yes. Comparing firms, reading reviews and sending your case summary to the firms you choose is free.

    Who will see my details?
