We recently completed the probate of our parents estate with Poole Alcock Solicitors and we cannot recommend them highly enough. Although the whole process took two and a half years to settle due due to its complexity, the team was absolutely incredible throughout. They were very kind, supportive and consistently hard working and took 100% responsibility of the estate, which gave us peace of mind during the difficult time. Losing both of our parents was difficult enough without the stress of legal paperwork. The divorce process between my wife and myself started out on relatively amicable terms and we agreed and documented all matters that needed to be resolved between us. The involvement of her new partner and the subsequent appointment of a solicitor significantly changed the dynamic and everything that had been agreed was suddenly revoked. After two years of wrangling I engaged Stowe Family Law out of desperation and the world suddenly got a lot clearer. I got a far better understanding of my position, rights and how various matters could be progressed and resolved. The minute Stowe got involved, the other solicitors quietened down. All outstanding matters were resolved and the divorce completed within 6 months.

I came into contact with Michael after my grandfather's estate and wishes were put to the test by estranged family members. I was his main executor and main beneficiary, I was coming to terms with losing the two most important people in my life (grandparents) and all that came with the estate. Michael had to step in and achieve ultimately what my grandad wanted after some rather troublesome contact with said estranged family. He worded each contact perfectly, while keeping me at ease and reminding me what my options were, ultimately supporting me to the end. One thing I can't be more grateful for is that I stated to Michael that I was dyslexic and that a lot of text was hard to absorb, so when needed he was happy to speak to me over the phone, explain his emails so that I could respond in return with an educated response. Having the bedside manner for want of a better expression along with the grit and tenacity to get the job done is a must and I had the right guy. I hope to soon put it behind me, and remember who this was all about but without the right support I don't know where I would be.
