'Ditched via email, days before FDA hearing date is due to be released. As, a very vulnerable client struggling with PTSD, ADHD and anxiety with a background in emotional - coercive/gaslighting abuse by my ex, struggling for days awaiting responses/worrying about looming deadlines. ' Previous, to this I sought, additional support from a friend with a background in law to reply to their email, it was passed on as if it were a complaint which wasn't the intent behind it, at all. The family law company are in my experience completely unable to support in highly conflict divorce cases and then use protecting their staffs 'well being' to weaponise, failing to support a vulnerable client properly. When I asked them to respect my mental health by not email me during the last hour of their working week, and therefore leaving me to stress all day Friday and over the weekend, it still happened on multiple occasions. When I final gave up after a week and rang to find out what was happening because I didn't want to be charge for yet another email. This was after, not being giving any indicators on what a fair settlement might look like, despite asking on multiple occasions asking for this and the list of discrepancies needing to filed with court without further delay. As the constant lack of accountability, for delays allowed my ex to manipulate the legal system adding to my costs while he self-legated and at every turn to avoid providing a true and frank disclosure. I was direct and persistent that I needed clarification on what has happening as the following day happening to be as 'surprise, surprise' her last day of her working week. I was accused of being rude. If I was a man, I would've been called assertive or forward but as a woman I am not. Even though, I had highlighted to them, that my biggest fear was to left without a legal support at my final hearing to negotiate a fair and future securing settlement. I was ditched via email, on the very day I was trying to find out what was happening when I hadn't heard from them in a week. This was after multiple times saying these delays and having to keep asking/checking was making me ill, and I had a GP mental health appointment the same day as it was making me very anxious. I was still ditched. In addition, failure to review my ex's submitted documentation properly, meant I paid for work that was not needed, when I reference this, I was told to 'clarify' even though I had specified a page number in the form E or that I was 'hunting for decrepancies' even though missing financial documentation was raised prior to the finalising of the questionnaire at the first hearing. There's more but I'm just fed up with the lack of accountability or acknowledgment of inconsistencies that have cost me financially and emotionally. I am now faced with a large legal bill, no fair settlement, no support legally and left to self-legit with an abusive ex....
