Sadly our Solicitor who we have dealt with for many years past away. We ere offered an appointment with a paralegal. I had serious misgivings it was not to be a Solicitor! We used Bradley Bernett for our conveyancing. Bradley was efficient and we trusted him to get things done. He was consistently available to support us though what turned out to be a more complicated process than we thought. He always offered us a calm and reasoned view on matters. When a potential issue arose a few years later he introduced us to Adrian Boulter. Adrian gave us some good advice on the matter and even though it wasn't something we could pursue, it was helpful to talk through options with him and receive some expert advice.

My husband and I have had the genuine pleasure of working with Joanna LONGFELLOW to assist us in writing our wills and arranging the Lasting Powers of Attorneys we requested. Joanna met with us at a mutually convenient time, and from the outset, we were confident that Joanna was incredibly capable. We were given accurate estimates of costs and we were never made to feel like we were taking up her time unnecessarily, or asking silly questions. Joanna, was easy and down-to-earth to speak to, but also extremely professional and efficient and was able to guide us through the process and ensure that our Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney were entirely suitable for our needs. Following our initial meeting, everything was handled super efficiently, with documents often arriving the next day by the first post. Joanna was easy to contact and responded to all our emails and phone calls at the earliest opportunity whenever we needed to speak to her (if she wasn't available to speak to us at that precise moment). All correspondence were concise and as 'jargon-free' as they could be, which helped us to understand exactly what was being done at all times, and what we needed to do. We were kept updated about the progress of the work being done for us, and we were given realistic timescales for the registry of the Lasting Powers of Attorney which was a lengthy process, so Joanna's honesty from the outset helped manage our expectations. We genuinely couldn't have asked for a better experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Joanna. In addition to this work, Joanna has assisted us with queries when I have phoned her about other none related issues, going above and beyond to help. A mention here for Chloe ASTON, also at JWP, who took the time to phone me after Joanna approached her with a question for me, and was also super knowledgeable, easy to talk to and happy to spend the time to help me.

From the outset it was a pleasure to meet with you and to interact with the other members of the professional Kingsford's team. You mentioned in your email that you have a daughter living in Perth. Once international travel resumes (post Covid), should you feel inclined to travel to Australia to visit her, could I suggest you incorporate a visit to NZ. A visit to the South Island would be a 'must', but I would be happy to host you in Rotorua (lot's to see and do around here) and I'm sure my brother Ken would do the same in Auckland. Just a thought! Once again we have received excellent service from Louise and her team who have responded promptly, and efficiently throughout the house sale process particularly as COVID 19 hit as we were getting close to exchange. As soon as the restrictions were lifted, the team were straight on it and organised an exchange and completion quickly. Always friendly and helpful. Strongly recommended.

I know there are less expensive ways of making a will, but I preferred the professional advice of a solicitor. It was easy to deal with Samuel Jones -- two appointments were needed. One to discuss the draft of the will, and another one to sign it. All questions were answered, and I felt we could always go back and ask more if necessary.
