I instructed Anna Ramsden for advice on an employment settlement agreement. She explained the agreement and the implications of signing it, which I appreciated. However, I was very disappointed with the communication towards the end of the matter. Once I had made my decision clear, I received several further emails asking whether I was sure, raising related issues, and commenting on whether the agreement may be good for me. In my view, a solicitor’s role is to advise the client clearly on their legal position, not to make the decision for them or continue questioning the client once they have already given clear instructions. I found the behaviour out of order and unprofessional. At that point, I felt she acted like a parasite, continuing to involve herself after I had already made my decision. I eventually had to ask not to receive any further emails apart from the invoice. Overall, the legal explanation was useful, but the final communication style was excessive, uncomfortable and did not suit me.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We take all feedback seriously. As a firm, we believe ensuring clients have everything they need to make a fully informed decision is central to good legal advice, though we recognise communication preferences vary and we always aim to be responsive to that. Needed an Employment solicitor regarding a settlement agreement. From speaking with Hannah Close initially she was so friendly and put me at ease when I needed it. Claire Rolston dealt with the agreement, she was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and secured a good deal for me which I was delighted with. I would highly recommend CLR LAW.

Working with Sara was a really positive experience. From our first meeting on Zoom she was friendly, approachable, and explained everything clearly, which made the whole process feel much easier to navigate. I appreciated her professionalism and the way she balanced expertise with a very personable approach. I would have no qualms about recommending Sara to anyone needing legal assistance around employment issues in the future.

I recently contacted Claire with an employment issue. I found Claire extremely personable and professional. She listened to my issue and then discussed how she could help. I definitely got a sense that she cared and would recommend her to others needing assistance in employment law.
