Avoid Hussain Solicitors – Poor Representation and Client Care
I had a connection to a case involving Basharat Hussain of Hussain Solicitors, and I feel compelled to warn others. The judgment in R v Rashad Mahmood [2023] exposed serious failures in how Mr Hussain handled the case.
Despite being trusted with a major criminal trial, Mr Hussain failed to maintain basic client communication, didn’t prepare important documents in time, and neglected the client for months. Even the Court of Appeal noted that his client care was poor and admitted he didn’t see his client from January to November 2018 without good reason.
Although the conviction was upheld because barristers eventually received key documents, this doesn’t excuse the unacceptable standard of care Mr Hussain provided. If you are looking for a solicitor who will be proactive, responsive, and committed to your case – I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
Unprofessional, unprepared, and unreliable. Proceed with extreme caution.
