Avoid This Firm – Don’t Become a Victim
I would strongly advise people to think carefully before instructing this firm. I instructed them to handle my remortgage, which should have been a relatively straightforward matter. Instead, what I expected to take around 1–2 weeks took approximately 2.5 months and caused me a significant amount of unnecessary stress and hassle and financial loss. The biggest issue was the final bill. I was charged £2,200 in disbursements, despite the typical cost for these types of disbursements being around £500–£700. I repeatedly asked the firm to provide receipts or other evidence to support these charges, but they failed to provide satisfactory evidence. Because I could not get a satisfactory explanation or supporting documentation from the firm, I had no choice but to escalate the matter and make formal complaints to the SRA and the Legal Ombudsman. The Legal Ombudsman investigated the matter and found in my favour, ordering the firm to pay me £1,200 in compensation on 15th June 2026 I had to go through a formal complaints process to obtain a resolution. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm. My advice to anyone using them is to carefully check every charge, ask for receipts or supporting evidence for all disbursements, and do not be afraid to make a formal complaint if you believe something is not right. Avoid becoming a victim of unexplained or unsupported charges. Check everything carefully and challenge anything you cannot verify.
