I am utterly appalled by the service I received from Manu Yakubu from R A solicitors. I hired this solicitor to handle my husband’s immigration case to join me in the UK, but the experience turned into a nightmare. After the initial application was refused, I was advised to appeal. I waited over a year for a court date, only to discover that the solicitor had completely stopped working on my case without telling me and missed important deadlines. When I confronted him about it, he didn’t own up—instead, he lied to me outright. I told him to immediately withdraw the appeal from the tribunal, but he ignored this request as well. I eventually had to take the matter into my own hands and contact the magistrate myself to have him removed from my case. To make matters even worse, he is still holding my original marriage certificate, which he claimed he needed but now refuses to return. This is not just unprofessional—it borders on misconduct. He has refused to refund any of the money I paid, despite his clear negligence and the severe stress this has caused me. I strongly urge anyone considering this firm to think twice. If your case matters to you, go elsewhere. This solicitor has shown a complete lack of integrity, accountability, and basic decency.
