My mother's estate
I was my mother's sole executor and my brother and I were the sole beneficiaries. Over the past 3 years after my mother went into a care home, my brother had been very difficult. Having stolen £120,000 from my mother's bank accounts, he was furious when our mother revoked his power of attorney. He coerced her into revoking my power of attorney, but the care home alerted Kent County Council safeguarding team and the matter was investigated by the Office of the Public Guardian and my power of attorney remained,as my mother wanted.
When it came to dealing with Robert as a beneficiary I knew he would be rude and bullying towards me. He wanted to know everything I had done as mother's attorney and my solicitor had already informed me that he had no rights to this information. I asked Jessica to communicate with my brother and send the inheritance to him. I therefore had no communication with my brother and no anxiety. Jessica gave my brother all the information concerning the estate that he needed and clearly but politely informed him of what he was not entitled to (anything that happened before mother's death).Jessica was very professional and my brother respected this and accepted the facts without argument, thus the estate was distributed very quickly. I cannot recommend Jessica highly enough, for anyone in a similar position, this will be money well spent.

Thoroughly recommend, without any reservation!
I am very impressed with the prompt, professional and understanding way both Adam & Jessica handled the situation.
Whilst grieving the loss of my father, having the eldest of us as three sisters refuse to sign probate or communicate in anyway, was enormously stressful and emotional. Adam & Hess calm approach and clear advice, followed up with letters resolved the situation within a few weeks. Their knowledge and experience of these more frequently occurring situations is brilliant.

Efficient and helpful
I consulted with Adam Fleming and Jessica Dawkins of the Private Client team regarding a Will Trust created by my dad because I was having trouble getting information from the Trustees' solicitors and wanted to know what my legal position was. Adam and Jessica reviewed the documents, and I received a helpful summary of how the situation stood and what I was entitled to know about the Trust. Adam then acted on my behalf and aided in getting communication going again between the Trustees' solicitors and myself without going over the top and making any fuss. It was a no-nonsense but effective, friendly approach and I am grateful to him and his team. Adam is not cheap, but he's utterly worth it.
