Richard joined the firm on the 18th of October 2021 as our new head of employment! Richard previously worked for a well-known law firm in Sheffield but decided to start a career with another Law firm in the heart of Doncaster. Richard is based at our Railway Court Office, which is located just on the outskirts of the Doncaster city centre. Richard says: "I started practising law in 2007, however, it wasn't until 2012 when I officially became an Employment Solicitor. Since 2012 I have progressed up the working ladder for almost 7 years which has earned me the title of Head of Employment Law. I initially got into law as I wanted to change the world, which may seem a little daunting to some! I have always had that "helping hand" attitude hence I wanted to go into a career in which I could do just that! Being an employment solicitor not only allows me to help the general public with their employment issues, but it allows me to provide a high standard of service where all clients can feel comfortable and welcoming during their sometimes stressful and worrying times. "

Settlement Agreement
My first encounter with Taylor Bracewell was with Liam Jolley, who was very efficient and quick with his responsed when handling phone calls and whilst being informative. Richard Lozano handled my case and, again was very efficient, customer focused and due to the nature of the case made me feel relaxed and confident as he was approachable and explained the agreement in detail. Friendly demanour, professional approach and unwavering commitment

Friendly and approachable
Consistent and regular information from Liam Jolley relating to appointment, doucmentation required by Taylor Bracewell and feedback to this. Good advice from Richard Lozano recommending I thoroughly review my redundancy agreement, highlighting any potential issues, prior to our meeting. Richard went through all sections of the agreement, explaining the legal meaning and possible repercussions. Quick response to emails. Quick responses to requests for additional information e.g. invoice. Great accesibility and parking at the site - preferable to city centre. Both Liam and Richard were friendly and approachable.

Honesty, straight talking and a sense of humour
I was in the unfortunate position of needing legal advice after having my employment terminated. After a few introductions Richard and I got on with the work. We spent about an hour carefully going through the document with me being quizzed on lots of things to ensure that everything stacked up. By the end we had a few points but most importantly the amount offered was wrong and Richard's persistence meant I received more than was first documented.
