I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received during the probate process following my husband’s death from the solicitor allocated to my file. From the outset, the replacement solicitor , Laura McDonagh who was allocated to my case appeared to treat it as a routine administrative task rather than a deeply personal and distressing situation. There was a clear lack of empathy, compassion, and understanding of the challenges faced when dealing with bereavement. Communication and interaction were disappointing and, at times, insensitive. There were also a number of unacceptable errors made throughout the process. Rather than being acknowledged and addressed appropriately, these mistakes were met with excuses and, on occasion, were trivialised. There was no meaningful sense of accountability, which only added to my frustration and distress. I raised my concerns in a detailed letter to Simon Fisher. Unfortunately, his response was dismissive and, rather than taking responsibility for the shortcomings in service, he suggested that the issues arose because I “had not asked.” This response was both disappointing and concerning. It appeared to reflect the same lack of ownership and understanding demonstrated by the solicitor handling my case. If this is indicative of the leadership and guidance provided, it is unsurprising that service standards are so poor. This was a life-changing and extremely difficult period for me, and instead of receiving support and professionalism, my experience was made significantly worse. I feel that I paid for a service that fell well below acceptable standards. I would not instruct this firm again, nor would I recommend them to others under any circumstances.

I found the service to be excellent. I was informed at all times of the process. The costs were transparent from the beginning and were kept to. The service was very quick (considering my experience with previous solicitors) and efficient. Everything was just as I had hoped. I would never consider going anywhere else now as Laura was very friendly and helpful and was totally reassuring. I have property to buy and sell and will certainly being coming back to complete this business
