Zaki’s ability to analyse and prepare cases to a high standard has been utilised by the Legal Aid Agency and Ministry of Justice for whom he has worked as a Crime Peer Reviewer since 2006. As a Senior Peer Reviewer, he examines and assesses the quality of work undertaken by criminal law firms throughout England and Wales in order to ensure that they meet the standards required of them. A former committee member of the London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association (LCCSA), Zaki currently serves on the LCCSA subcommittee concerning new crime legislation and government consultations on sentencing guidelines reform.

Court can be stressful and Zaki Hashmi from Abv solicitors made everything easy. He diligently found out the details of my case and found the correct and lawful result. Due to the particulars of the case he found that restrictions put upon me were made unlawfully and that these restrictions were lifted.
Can not recommend them highly enough. Very thorough and persistent to reach the correct outcome. Zaki is very intelligent and thoughtful in finding out what happened before and also in choosing the correct path to take for the appropriate outcome.

My case was taken over by ABV solicitors from a duty solicitor, Zaki Hashmi was my initial point of contact and was so helpful, he was thorough and explained every step that we needed to take. when the case went to court I was represented by Mr Martin Hawkes who defended me to a very high standard, I just want to say thank you to ABV solicitors for taking my case, Zaki and Martin are really 2 of the best solicitors and people I’ve encountered and if I’m ever in need of legal advice again I will most certainly reach out to them.

From the start to the end result, Mr Zaki Hashmi was great in dealing with my case. The attention to detail and research that he put in was fantastic and went above and beyond what I was expecting. I was kept informed throughout with realistic expectations, which I greatly appreciated. Glad to say, it was not all in vain, as we got the result we wanted and the case was dismissed. I would highly recommend ABV, and Zaki especially, for any of your needs which ABV deal with.

I was represented in a DV case by Sophie Bell and Zaki Hashmi where i was accused of CA. Thanks to their methodical approach, i won my appeal. I was really impressed by how seriously each of them took my situation. Each of them worked through the weekend and evening and were extremely responsive to my emails and messages. As someone who had never been in trouble with the police before, selecting a solicitor was extremely daunting but i am delighted with my choice and can recommend them to anyone.
