When we first contacted Liz with the issue before us, it was pretty daunting, but we were convinced that something had to be done, especially when the health authority didn't acknowledge any "learning" from their investigations, and as such, others could experience similar problems when in their care.
Liz put us at ease from that first contact and it was like discussing the situation with an old friend, albeit in this case a very knowledgeable old friend.
We have been kept informed at every stage and although we have never met Liz or Catherine they have prompted us and kept us informed at all times.

Great communication

Calm, understanding and knowledgeable

very Pleasant, efficient, has explained everything in full , accessible.
I feel as is i know Elizabeth even though as yet we have not met in person
things can take time so one has to be patient . But hopefully the result is, what you have been through
will be settled . Then you can get on with the rest of your life.

First Class service and communication all the way
We were supported in a sensitive claim and the service received took this into account. I could not find any cause for complaint as I felt that the solicitor we dealt with did all that she could in the case and kept us informed of progress at every step, which was important to us. She appeared very knowledgeable and gave us confidence in the process. They advised us clearly and concisely about the final settlement and reasons to accept or negotiate further so we feel that we had the best possible outcome. I would certainly recommend Elizabeth Larner for any similar claim.

Medical negligence claim not proven
After suffering considerable pain due to 2 major operations on my shoulder and being left partially disabled as a result, the expert Wollens employed begged to differ and after over 18 months and despite suffering a life changing procedure, decided on the basis of the operation was conducted satisfactorily, despite, in my case, I, the patient, metaphorically died. It would seem the NHS is Teflon coated and finding an expert who deigns to criticise a fellow consultant's work, is a rare beast indeed. Today I can barely touch my left eye as a result of my surgery. Why this should be excused I will never know. I'm desperately disappointed and would not like what happened to me to be inflicted on another patient.

Handling of my case
My partner contacted Wollens on my behalf and was given Elizabeth's email address. An email was sent and Liz phoned me the same afternoon. We had a lengthy conversation about my case which was unsatisfactory laser eye treatment. From that day on Liz handled the case very efficiently keeping me updated frequently and was very helpful with all the necessary form filling,and she clearly explained all the financial details and insurances etc. She explained it would be a lengthy process and it has lasted just over 2 years and finished with a favourable result for me. She has been a real pleasure to work with.
