I am a Solicitor with specialist experience recognised in Children Law under the Law Society Children Panel and I undertake work in all areas of family law. I specialise in and have extensive experience of public law proceedings. I work with parents, grandparents and other members of the family network to secure the placement of children and/or return to care. I have represented individuals from various backgrounds and with various difficulties, including alcohol, drug, mental health, eating disorders, learning difficulties/impairments and where there is cultural differences/attitudes in child upbringings. I have experience of working and supporting a parent in proceedings related to wardship of children, involving risk of removal to ISIS controlled Syria. In addition, I have experience of complex cases involving parents subject to immigration control and children to subject to Children Act proceedings. I am interested in cases relating to children being subject to proceedings were parents are said to be unable to provide good enough care to children due to issues/concerns/risk of sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, drug/alcohol abuse, carers with health issues, cultural differences, drug/alcohol abuse, children with behavioural difficulties/complex health needs due to disabilities. I also take a key interest in children/families at risk of leaving the country involving ISIS movement in Wardship Proceedings. These cases are complex and have serious consequences for the children involved.
