    Best conveyancing we’ve ever worked with

    Hay & Kilner have a reputation for being great and they were exactly that. Because of the way they are a large and well established firm, there were never any disruptions to the process of sorting our house sale or new purchase. The whole process was, in fact, extremely fast. The Hay & Kilner team kept us informed every step of the way and they were thoughtful and quick in doing so. It would would absolutely be fair to describe them as meeting or even exceeding the gold standard for conveyancing solicitors. The next time we need to sell or buy a property, we’ll return to Hay & Kilner.

    Claire was outstanding in all my contact with her. She was very calm, supportive and extremely helpful to me when facing and dealing the inevitable challenges of selling & purchasing properties. I was kept fully informed electronically and verbally as necessary and in a timely manner. Clear and transparent contractual costs discussed upon meeting Claire for first time. All paperwork throughout the process was clearly discussed with me and spoken to in "non legalese". Whenever I rang Hay & Kilner office, I was always offered a means to get in touch with my solicitor if they were not available - via message being left, email etc. Also offered and/or put in touch with paralegal - Sophie if information required if Claire was unavailable, who was extremely helpful and had access to files. Communications was very good - electronically and verbally.

    Buying at Auction made simple with Claire Simmons

    We bought our first Auction property in April 2024 and felt very unsure of the process and whether we were doing the right thing. We asked Claire to help us, after one of her colleagues Adam, who is our construction lawyer, along with Jan, at Hay & Kilner, recommended her. She was amazing, and her, and her lovely team reassured us and helped us through this process. Timelines were met, and we were kept informed and felt comfortable to call and talk things through when needed. We were so pleased with the service and the outcome that we bought a second property in June 2024, which has just completed, and once again managed swiftly and courteously by Helen and her team. We have no hesitation recommending to anyone

    Sale and purchase of our properties

    We have used Hay and Kilner several times now and for good reason. Moving house can be a very stressful time but Claire Simmons and her team, especially Lynn Liddle, have been excellent throughout. I normally hesitate before giving a review in general, but in this case I have no hesitation in giving my wholehearted recommendation for this firm and not simply confined to house purchase.
