Family Law Executive at Wollens

Victoria Harle

Family Law Executive

I have worked in the Childcare and Family Team, alongside Rachel Carter, specialising in complex care proceedings involving allegations of Non-Accidental Injury and Factitious illness since I joined Wollens in 2017. I act for parents and carers within these complex proceedings which involve allegations of physical abuse such as shaken baby syndrome, fractures, bruises, factitious illness, etc. I work with clients all over the country (from Cornwall to Newcastle) and represent people in all courts including the County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. Most of my work is legally aided (parents within care proceedings are automatically entitled to full legal aid). As a result of the amount of NAI work I undertake and working closely with Rachel Carter, I have considerable experience in the area and have formed excellent working relationships both with barristers also specialising in this line of work and with medical experts who undertake reports for such cases. As a result, I have had much success in securing a child’s return to their parents’ care. Further information about the work undertaken by myself and Rachel Carter can be found at the Parents Accused blog site here: www.parentsaccused.co.uk I have also been published in the Family Law Journal writing on the subject of appeals within the Public Child Law system. Outside of work I have an eclectic range of interests including beekeeping, sketching, and baking. I am friendly, approachable and always willing to lend a sympathetic ear.

The accused!

After realizing I as a grandmother I needed a solicitor with regards to my grandchildren after a brief conversation with a friend she recommended Victoria, what a kind young lady, thoughtful to the situation that I found myself in, she did her case research and after one day in court the judge ruled in our favor. I couldn't thank her enough that after months of accusations she did the job!

I nervously changed solicitors 6 months into care proceedings after being accused of a non accidental injury to my youngest child. Victoria jumped straight into action and really made changes in my case. She was professional, calm, meticulous and caring. Thanks to Victoria and the team my children are home where they belong with no findings against me! I can’t thank her enough and could not recommend her more, shes fantastic! If you are ever unfortunate enough to be in the situation I was you will be in safe hands if you have Victoria as your representation!

I was represented by Victoria Harle during me and my partner being accused of Non Accidental Injury. Victoria was amazing throughout and is clearly passionate in her field. Thanks to Victoria our voice was heard and we got our daughter home where she belongs. When barristers are needed, Victoria chooses ones that she has worked with before, to insure the best representation. I have no hesitation in recommending Victoria to anyone in need of help.
