Solicitor = Good. Billing = Absolutely awful
Hannah did a good job, however this was totally over-shadowed by the totally awful billing which I feel was never totally resolved. This caused much stress for me. For this reason, I would never use them again.

Absolutely Outstanding!
I contacted AJ Family Law to help me with a difficult separation involving children. Hannah was assigned to my case who I quickly discovered to be one of the most impressive and competent people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Her knowledge and expertise were of great reassurance during an exceptionally difficult period. Communication was excellent, emails and calls responded to quickly, translating my (sometimes rambling!) concerns and issues into sound legal advice and effective correspondence. I truly felt supported at every step and never once doubted the service I received. Ultimately, we received the result I wanted. I could not be happier and would recommend Hannah to anyone who has found themselves in a similar position, she will fight your corner!

Divorce settlement
Hannah guided me through an (obviously) unwanted and stressful situation with compassion, expertise and care. Everything was explained with no pressure and a thorough and very human insight. Couldn't have wished for a better experience.

Fabulous Service
Rhian and Hannah dealt with the financial considerations for my divorce - the service was both professional and personal, ensuring a fault free submission to the courts and a speedy resolution to the proceedings. I cannot recommend Alun Jones Family Law highly enough.

Would not hesitate to recommend.
I cannot recommend AJ family law highly enough having just completed a long and terrifying legal process where they achieved a shared residency order allowing me back into my children's lives. This followed the end of a marriage during which I experienced years of coercive control, manipulation and emotional abuse by my ex. Suffice it to say, when I contacted Alun Jones Family Law, I was not in a great way and needed expert help.
Thankfully the whole team was completely great. My initial consultation was with Alun, the founder, owner and principal solicitor and he was available and responsive throughout the whole process.
Hannah Newbury was the solicitor who handled my case and she was outstanding, I could not have hoped for better. Hannah was knowledgeable, professional, extremely well-prepared and diligent. I found her specialist knowledge and interest about Parental Alienation to be especially helpful. She listened to me and took the time to understand my priorities, my values and my concerns. She managed my expectations very well and with sensitivity; always being clear with me about what was realistic, and helping me to keep perspective.
Hannah maintained a clear focus on helping me to manage my resources and was mindful of working in ways that kept expenses down as much as possible. For example, she was transparent and candid with me about when she thought she should represent me in court, and also about when it was time to bring in a barrister (although I would say that Hannah was very much more credible and impressive in court than my ex's barrister). Frankly, I can't imagine what it would have been like to go through something like this without Hannah's pragmatism, reassurance, tenacity, positivity, humour and expertise. She's an absolute rock.
Throughout the whole process Hannah was extremely hard-working and responsive (e.g. to my panicked phone-calls or emails from me asking for advice). However, on the very rare occasion when Hannah couldn't respond, the other solicitors at the firm were quick to step in, very competent and reassuring and obviously knew my case well. They were great at keeping Hannah in the loop. Rhian was excellent when fielding ad-hoc queries and requests for assistance from me, and her advice helped me to achieve good interim outcomes during the process.
Hannah J the Practice Manager was fantastic, she took plenty of time to explain billing, invoices, charging and procedure etc. As much as anything else, it was just great to hear another friendly and supportive voice on the phone while plodding through an extremely torrid time.'

Supportive for child contact, divorce & finances
2 years ago after walking out on my ex-husband following domestic abuse, I found Alun Jones Family Law on a Google search. Initially I contacted them just for advice and 2 months later instructed them to deal with Child Contact, Divorce and Finances.
Hannah and the team were very supportive, understood my questions and needs and answered any email in a swiftly manor no matter what time of day/night it was. They made me feel like a priority and took great interest with everything in my case.
My case was very complex and challenging to say the least but with their guidance and expertise through the whole process including court hearings, we finally came to an end with a positive outcome.
The whole experience from beginning to end was excellent. Hannah and the team work very well together and provide the best advice possible.
A special thanks goes to Hannah Newberry who when we started was a trainee solicitor and then qualified during my case. She went above and beyond representing me, communicating with me and worked extremely hard throughout the whole process.
I would highly recommend Alun Jones Family Law and will not hesitate to use them again (if needed).

A rarity
In the six years since the birth of my son I have spoken to many solicitors seeking support. Hannah Newbury and Alun Jones are of only three solicitors who were willing to help. You will not go wrong contacting them. The sooner the better would be my advice.
As far as their rates are concerned I believe they are very reasonable. To put it into perspective. When I began my naive journey I was paying double what AJFL charge. Only to be informed I would not be represented in court anyway.
A very approachable and friendly team. Professional and sincere. No matter your situation they will do their very best to help and they are more than capable of doing so.
Time is everything. AJFL will give you theirs.

Grateful indeed
I have attended at a fair amount of solicitors offices trying to gain some advice with a ongoing difficult situation I am in. Hannah was the first solicitor I have met who has appeared to be unconditionally invested in my case and gave as much support as she did advice. I felt very secure and confident in taking my next steps, which have been a few months in the making without the right voice behind me. Thank you for everything.
