Paralegal

Accepting new clients via ReviewSolicitors

Chloe Howells is a Paralegal at Alun Jones Family Law, where she supports the firm’s solicitors in advising clients across a wide range of family law matters arising from relationship breakdown. She joined the firm in September 2025 after graduating with First Class Honours in Law from Nottingham Trent University. During her studies she developed a strong interest in family law and gained valuable practical experience assisting litigants in person at Nottingham Law School’s Legal Advice Centre. This work provided early exposure to the realities of family disputes and strengthened her commitment to helping individuals navigate the legal process with clarity and confidence. Before joining the firm, Chloe worked as a Paralegal in criminal defence. This role provided her with a strong grounding in client care and experience of working in demanding and high-pressure environments, skills which translate well to the sensitive and often complex nature of family law matters. Chloe has a particular interest in disputes involving unmarried couples and the developing area of cohabitation law, including claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA). She follows ongoing discussions around potential legal reform in this area, particularly proposals aimed at introducing greater legal protections for cohabiting couples. Chloe is fluent in both Welsh and English, enabling her to assist Welsh-speaking clients and supporting the firm’s commitment to providing accessible legal services. Having been homeschooled during her GCSE years, she independently completed her studies before progressing to university and pursuing a career in law. She intends to undertake postgraduate legal training in due course as part of her long-term ambition to qualify as a solicitor.

The Elite of Solicitors

I just wanted to say how grateful I am to have had Hannah and the teams at Alun jones act for me in both my child proceedings and TOLATA proceedings Her persistence, expertise and patience and just pure knowledge and support has got me through the most difficult year. Hannah and the team were always on hand with prompt responds on both email and telephone calls, With it all now being concluded with the best outcomes I could have hoped for. I wouldn't have got through everything without Hannah and the team. A thank you will never be enough.

Professional Service

From the moment I first met with Hannah at AJFL, nothing was too much trouble. The guidance and advice I was given was clear, informative and always included a range of options to ensure I was happy with the way forward. Hannah always replied to any questions promptly with detail and was considerate of the situation with her advice. I always found her extremely pleasant and easy to deal with and she was kind, no matter how small the question. Hannah has supported me through court hearings and made sure I was clear on what the judge was saying along with guiding me on the possible outcomes. Hannah had great legal knowledge and could clearly advise me on the best course of action. Having used a different firm and solicitor previously, I can say that the knowledge of her client's case and understanding of the history involved ensured that Hannah was ready for anything and knew what was needed straight away. This is a professional firm where I have felt that my voice was important and support was clear and available throughout. I would recommend AJFL for any legal need and would not hesitate to use them again.
