After studying law at Aberdeen University, Chris joined us in 2014 as a trainee, went on to become a fully qualified solicitor and Notary Public and in early 2022 became a Partner. He is based in our Dunfermline office, with his main focus on Private Client services and is a dedicated and caring member of the team. On a daily basis, Chris provides expert advice to our clients, with his main focus on Estate Management, Executries and Elderly Care. Chris guides his clients through the process of drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney, winding up Estates and Trusts & Taxation. He also advises and acts on Residential Conveyancing and Lease matters. Most recently Chris has been awarded an advanced certificate in Wills and Executries: Law & Practice – Scotland by the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners. Trustworthy, diligent and professional, Chris became a solicitor in order to help people and is passionate about what he does. Chris lives in Edinburgh, and when he’s not at work he takes every opportunity to create new experiences and memories. An avid traveller, he also loves to cook and prepare meals for family and friends. He’s also a football fan and plays regularly. Family is Chris’s priority, and he thoroughly enjoys working closely with his Father, Charles – W&AS Bruce’s Managing Partner and his Mother, Philomena.

    Unhelpful

    I was unhappy with the service provided by Chris. There was an oversight in dealing with my brother’s estate. It was not dealt with graciously or in a timely manner. There were financial penalties imposed due to this oversight. Chris only brought the situation to a conclusion after multiple requests. I cannot provide a recommendation of satisfactory service.

    Will/Confirmation/Conveyancing

    I have recently used W&AS Bruce for producing a will for my late Father, for Confirmation of his Will and finally for the Conveyancing during the sale of my late Father’s property. The processing of all the above services were completed promptly, efficiently with consummate professionalism and empathy. The costs associated with all the above services were very competitive. In summary, I would recommend to use this practice for any legal requirements.
