I am a Solicitor based in our Birmingham office who specialises in all aspects of Children Law proceedings and domestic abuse. Due to developments in technology since Covid-19, I assist clients all over the United Kingdom. Having obtained a scholarship at the University of Law in 2017 I began my legal career within Family law that same year and have over 6 years experience in the field. I assist clients who have a private dispute with another parent/care giver with obtaining S8 Children Act Orders (child arrangement orders, specific issues orders, prohibited steps orders). I have experience dealing with CAFCASS, Rule 16.4 Guardians, Section 37 Orders, S7 Reports, Enforcement of Orders and the Variation of Orders. I can also assist clients with obtaining legal aid for such matters. I assist victims of domestic abuse with obtaining Non-Molestation Orders, Occupation Orders and Female Genital Mutilation Orders and assist them with obtaining Legal Aid for Domestic Abuse. I can also assist those involved in care proceedings. Over the years, I have represented parents and grandparents in applications where non-compliance with social services has led to children being removed from the care of a parent or a care giver. This is often due to concerns of emotional, psychological and physical harm that a child may suffer from either the child themselves, or a parent/ care giver. I deal with Social services, section 47 enquires, child protection conferences, PLO meetings, s20 agreements, police protection orders, parental responsibility, CAFCASS, EPO, ICO, s37 Reports, care plans, contact with child in care, Family Group Conference, experts, discharging care orders, adoption and placement orders and secure accommodation orders. I assist clients with obtaining legal aid for such matters. I specialise in all types of cases especially those with elements of niche specialism and complexity including: - Female Genital Mutualisation - Sexual exploitation - Deprivation of Liberty Orders - Secure Accommodation Orders - Non-Accidental Injury Whilst at Duncan Lewis Solicitors I have liaised with charities in the Birmingham City Centre. I attend clinics and provide 30 minute pro bono legal advice to vulnerable clients. From working with charities and maintaining these links, I have been able to obtain non-molestation orders for vulnerable clients to protect them against their abusive ex-partners.
