Property transfer following divorce
i just wanted to say that my experience with BMTC has always been a positive one. I have had cause to consult them on a few issues and their advice has always been practical, concise and simple enough for me to understand. I mainly dealt with Tessa, who was extremely professional and responded to all my queries promptly, ensuring that my property transfer went ahead smoothly. I would have no hesitation in recommending them. I am returning next week for a Will and will continue to use them for any other legal issues i have.

Transfer of equity
Following a separation BMTC acted on my behalf with a transfer of equity. I had been very clear at the outset that my ex partner would be paying for all the fees but this did get lost in translation at points and there was a lot of revisions and updates needed to documents. The process wasn’t particularly clear what would happen but it got across the line and that was sufficient.
The final thing I found odd is that on the completion day I was ‘congratulated’. When the firm knew the situation this was an odd choice of phrase.
However, no issue with the service provided overall and I am comfortable is completed to the necessary requirements.

Conveyancing
We have just completed on selling our house. Tessa was our main contact, she was professional, responsive and reassuring. She kept us up to date and was always available for queries. Timely communication is very important when dealing with a house sale and we appreciate it. We will be using the firm again when we find a house to purchase .

Thorough, reliable and engaging
Our experience was almost entirely with Tessa Collins, the Conveyancing Assistant to Joanne Martin.
The sale of our property and purchase of a new property was complex and involved a great deal of work with other parties who were not as committed to the conveyance as one would have hoped. Tessa was extremely dedicated to pursuing the problematic management company involved, and repeatedly chased up other individuals and organisations who failed to respond in a timely manner. I spoke to Tessa many times on the phone, and she was consistently proactive and professional. On some occasions she was not available, but always called me back within a reasonable time.
Although it was touch and go, we were able to complete on both purchases within the deadline, and Tessa was heavily responsible for that achievement.
I would definitely recommend the team of Joanne Martin and Tessa Collins

Good experience
Not bought or sold a house before. I dealt mainly with my Solicitors assistant but she was available when needed. Both were very helpful and patient in explaining things and were prompt in answer queries and chasing up the buyers conveyancer. Phone calls were either dealt with immediately or a call back came quickly. I was kept up to date with what was happening. The reception staff were also helpful and made me feel at ease.
