Karen Miller heads up our Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning team and during her career has worked with some of the country’s leading experts in inheritance tax. Karen helps clients plan for their futures and their families. She is an inheritance tax planning and trust specialist who advises a wide range of clients on strategies to protect their assets. Karen tailor’s her advice to each client’s particular needs and the dynamics of their family. Karen’s work typically includes: • Advising clients on succession and strategies to protect their assets and provide for their families, especially vulnerable family members, in the most tax efficient way. • Identifying tax mitigation opportunities and variations. • Preparing Wills, including trusts for asset protection and tax mitigation. • Creating, varying, and winding up trusts. • Dealing with trust registration. • Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney for personal and business decisions. • Advising and preparing declarations of trusts in relation to land Karen is sympathetic and listens carefully to her clients to understand what they want to achieve, which is, sometimes, not what they initially thought.
